Mungret and Shannon Hibs shared the spoils in an entertaining game played in excellent conditions in Mungret on Tuesday evening.
Mungret started the brighter of the two teams and moved the ball around very well in the opening period.
Shannon Hibs came more into the half and started to get on top in the middle of the park with Rachel McGann and Michelle Clancy
dominating, however despite a lot of ball possession, Hibs failed to capitalise. Mungret looked very dangerous at set pieces
and came close following a free into the box which Aine McCormaic saved well in the Hibs goal.
On the stroke of half-time, Kiara Hannon dribbled through the Mungret defence but her shot came back off the upright and was cleared.
The second half was more of the same with both teams pushing for the opening goal, however, Jenny Lyttle and Kathy Whelan
marshalled their respective defences very well.
The game finished 0-0 with and was a fair result for both teams.
