Analog made the trip to Knocklong Tuesday night. Analog started strong and had a couple of shots on target from Miriam Liston, Claire O’Keefe and Lisa O’Keefe but were just denied by the Knocklong keeper. Analog put some great passes together out of defense to midfield in the first half and moved the ball up the pitch. 25 minutes in to the game Analog were rewarded for their efforts with a free kick for a foul committed on Lisa O’Keefe. A beautiful strike from Miriam Liston found the back of net and Analog lead at half time 1-0.
Some great play from Miriam Liston and Maria Kelly saw Lisa O’Keefe finding the back of the net in the second half, Lisa who was very unlucky just minutes before hitting the crossbar. Analog dominated the second half and had a couple of shots on target but the efforts of Lisa O’Keefe, Claire O’Keefe, Miriam Liston, Maria Kelly and Katie Casey narrowly failed to find the back of net. In the dying minutes of the match Knocklong pressed on in hopes of a score but the Analog defense held them scoreless.
