| National Junior Cup - Week End 11th\12th July |

Murroe advanced to the quarter finals of the national Junior cup with an excellent win over Cork team Riverstown.
Murroe started brightly and took the lead after 15 minutes when Trish Butlers strike from 18 yards hit the net.
5 minutes later Susan o Brien scored the 2nd following a cross from Sarah Berkery.
This gave Murroe a great cushion and with 5 minutes left in the half Claire Coughlan went on a mazy run beating 3 defenders before
sliding the ball past the on coming keeper for a 3-0 interval lead.
10 minutes into the 2nd half Sarah Berkery added a 4th when she struck brilliantly from the edge of the box to the top corner.
Riverstown tried hard but the early goals had taken their toll and Murroe were delighted to advance against very good sporting opposition.
