On Sunday May 10th Aisling Annacotty U14 Ladies team played the first round of the U14 National Cup.
They played against Wilton at home. The match finished at 0 - 0 at full time.
After an exciting 20 minutes extra time the match still finished as 0 - 0.
The match progressed to penalties. Aoife Hogan took the first penalty for Aisling and scored. Wilton reciprocated.
Ellen Hyde took the second penalty and scored. Wilton failed to score the second goal as it was saved by the Aisling goalie.
Sarah Downey took the third penalty and scored. Wilton stepped up for the third penalty but it hit the cross bar and failed to score.
Rachel Dillon nailed the fourth penalty home for Aisling and the team are now through to the second round to be played Sunday 17th May.
The team played really well together as it was their first competative match in a long time .
